ChatGPT, an AI-text generator created by OpenAI, is making a lot of waves right now for its uncanny, humanlike responses to questions and inquiries. The truly mind blowing part about this text model is its ability to write complex code...that works.
Out of curiosity, we decided to see what ChatGPT can tell us about coffee.
Here are our questions and it's responses.
****************************
Tripe Coffee: Do you know any coffee varietals?
ChatGTP: As a language model trained by OpenAI, I don't have any personal knowledge or experience with coffee varietals. I am a machine learning model that has been trained to generate human-like text based on the input I receive. I can provide information on a wide range of topics, but my responses are based on the text that I have been trained on and my ability to generate coherent and relevant text based on that input. I am not able to browse the internet or access any external information, so I am limited to the information that I have been trained on.

Okay, fair enough. Most of the world drinks coffee, but they don't jack about coffee. ChatGTP is trained on what humans have written about coffee. No surprise, not a lot has been written. Maybe better put...not enough has been written.
But does ChatGTP know about wine varietals?
****************************
Triple Coffee: Do you know any wine grape varietals?
ChatGTP: Yes, I am familiar with many wine grape varietals. Some of the most common varietals include Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Zinfandel. These grapes are used to make many of the most popular wines from around the world. Other common varietals include Riesling, Pinot Grigio, and Sangiovese. There are many different grape varietals used in winemaking, and each one has its own unique characteristics that contribute to the flavor and aroma of the resulting wine.

(SIGH) It's so tempting to get frustrated that the chatbot is super knowledgeable about wine varietals, and super unknowledgeable about coffee, but it's just regurgitating the relative knowledge that people have written.
TRIPLE COFFEE PLUG: EACH OF OUR BAGS HAS THE VARIETAL AND FERMENTATION PROCESS ON IT. Fingers crossed, ten years from now people have written way more about coffee varietals like catuai, pacamara, parainema, gesha, pacas, bourbon, caturra, and ChatGPT will be able to provide more impressive responses.
