The founder of this tea plantation, Kyujiro Koyama, began cultivating and processing tea in Ogura, Uji, around the year 1704. The Uji region is considered the main producing area of the highest quality tea in Japan. Koyamaen maintains consistently high standards and superior quality from cultivation to the final product. For this reason, he has received more than 21 awards in recognition of his efforts.

Hojicha

Hojicha tea has a fragrant smell. It is made by roasting Sencha leaves at high temperatures. Because it is made from roasted leaves, it is in the lowest level classifications for caffeine. This makes it suitable for pregnant women and children.
